A handsome book was published in anticipation of the Solo Exhibition: J. Steven Manolis, Painting Vermillion Red, John A. Day Gallery, Warren M. Lee Center for the Arts, Vermillion, South Dakota, August 21, 2017 - October 9, 2017. REDWORLD showcases the history of J. Steven Manolis' dedicated interest in the color red and documents the use of this vibrant hue throughout art history. Highlighted in this book are some of Manolis' favorite red paintings, now hanging walls of some of his biggest collector's private homes. Some of the interior photographs in this book are taken by Architectural Digest's photographer, Kim Sargent.
